L'Argaj Welcome to our restaurant

Savor traditional Piedmontese cuisine and prepare to be surprised, even if you believe you have already "tasted it all"

A culinary journey

You have traveled as far as Castiglione, in the Langhe, but your culinary journey will not end among these hills

We are Valentina & Andrea: we opened L'Argaj in 2015, distilling into it everything we learned over the previous ten years. Not a destination, but a starting point to explore new horizons.

To this day, we continue to nurture the same passion for a craft—hospitality and cooking—that requires a constant and dedicated desire to grow and learn. You will find this passion in Valentina's service and in Andrea's dishes.

Piedmontese cuisine, yes, but influences and flavors that reach far and wide will offer you a fulfilling and unexpected culinary journey, the result of research cultivated and refined over the years.

We welcome you and invite you to discover more about our restaurant.

Our pleasure to have the opportunity to meet Simone and had dinner together! I would say this meal was one of the most impressive ones in my mind and also the wines🥂 Simone’s dry Moscato was really cool and potential! I hope more Asian people could taste it too!

What a lovely restaurant. The location was so special looking out across the vineyards we were able to watch the sunset over La Morra. The food was presented beautifully with really interesting food combinations that was truly delicious. The wine - an extensive list of wines both from the area and internationally and finally the service which was friendly, really engaging and so accommodating to our needs. I would love to come back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone

Yes, yes, YES! L’Argaj never disappoints. Five visits and counting, this is now our go-to choice for memorable occasions. We drive two hours and build trips around our trips to L’Argaj and the stunning surrounding wine country. Their welcome dish is unbeatable. Finely tuned morsels of surprise. Four unique bites that leave me wishing I could order a full servings of each. Those little square bites of crispy outside, creamy inside potate stacks… I would give up chips, fries and mashed potatoes for life to delight between those layers. While some deconstructed traditional dishes can feel overdone the playful spirit at L’Argaj is matched only by flavors. The balance of elevated taste profiles with fresh preparation and plating that draws attention to the quality of each ingredient is pitch perfect. They even found a tasteful way to surprise my husband on his birthday. A man who loathes sweets FINALLY delighted in a chocolate birthday wish trailer made just for him. Best of all, my flailing attempts at Italian are always greeted with warm hospitality. They offer to speak English, but better yet, compliment me by never batting an eye at my continued attempts in Italian. Such grace. Grazie mille! Alla prossima L’Argay. We’ll be back soon to celebrate my birthday in the fall.

Astonishing menu with unexpected combinations of food , I am truly surprised it does not have a Michelin distinction having visited many bib gourmands and star restaurants. The atmosphere inside is nice and simple with the only drawback- parking lot just in front of. I wish they would plant some trees as the view behind is amazing.
